AK Party draws up action plan to win hearts of naysayers
The ruling Justice and Development Party (AK Party), which has been researching why the residents of coastal areas of Turkey mostly voted against the constitutional amendments in the Sept. 12 referendum, has drafted a new action plan to overcome the concerns of these people before the 2011 general elections.

Avrupa Birliği Dönem Başkanı İspanya'nın Ankara Büyükelçisi Joan Clos, Türkiye'de Ergenekon davası ve darbe planlarıyla ilgili gelişmeleri, "ordunun güçlü söz hakkına sahip olduğu dönemden modern bir ülkeye geçiş dönemi" şeklinde yorumladı. İtalya'daki Gladio davası nedeniyle Avrupa'nın Ergenekon'u gayet iyi bildiğini ifade eden Büyükelçi Clos, "Ordu, diğer demokratik Avrupa toplumlarında olduğu gibi sivil otoriteye bağlı olmalı." ifadelerini kullandı.
